We are passionate about fighting cancer...

Giving is a large part of H2D Concrete. As a family-owned business, being able to donate a portion of our profits to charities has always been a priority, especially when our family has been so fortunate to be on the receiving end of some of these charities in the past. At 20 months old, our only son, Miguel, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It was extremely tough on our family, but with the care of some incredible doctors at Duke Hospital, prayer and support, and the help of some outstanding charities and organizations, Miguel was able to celebrate being in remission for 5 wonderful years. Miguel, unfortunately, has since passed away, however, there is no amount of money in the world to express how grateful we are to be touched by these wonderful charities. We are thankful for the success of H2D Concrete and for clients like you supporting us to be able to give back in Miguel’s memory to a few of our favorite foundations:

Meg’s Smile Foundation

This foundation donates gifts or fun experiences to children who are affected by serious illnesses in North Carolina. This amazing organization donated a playset to Miguel so he could still go to the “park” without actually going to the park, something he had to avoid due to seizures caused by chemo.

Give Kids the World

Give Kids the World is one of our favorite charities. This is a storybook resort where critically ill children get to spend cost-free, week-long vacations in Disney World, Universal Studios, LegoLand, Seaworld etc. with the help of The Make a Wish Foundation. Miguel took his first trip to Disney World with the help of Give Kids the World and Make a Wish, and he has been obsessed ever since. This incredible organization means so much to our family.

Zach's Toy Chest

Zach’s Toy Chest is a non profit organization that supplies toys to children’s hospitals. During his hospital stays, Zach’s Toy Chest never failed to bring Miguel a toy on his birthday, or during difficult appointments such as spinal taps or surgeries. This organization really lifts the spirits of terminally ill children.

Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation

This wonderful organization has raised over $47 million for cancer research. This foundation is imperative in changing the outlook for many patients and their treatments. Each donation brings the world closer to a cure.

Epilepsy Alliance of NC

Striving to find a cure for all types of Epilepsy, this alliance serves NC families and individuals fighting Epilepsy.
